F.A.Q.

Q: How long is the program?
A: Wellspring for Women is a total of 18 months. The first 12 months consist of the residency portion of the program. When the requirements of this portion are met, the student then moves on to the 6 month re-adjustment period. The purpose of this period is to allow her the chance to re-integrate into her community and life with the continued support and oversight of the ministry.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: No cost except for an application fee. The application fee is $60 if we mail it to you and $65 if we fax it to you. This is to help insure the sincerity of the applicant and to cover initial administrative processing costs. We accept money orders or checks, payable to Wellspring for Women. In the For: field, please put “Application Fee” and the student’s name.

Q: When do I get to communicate with my family or friends?
A: Phone calls and letters are allowed after the first two weeks with the student's primary correspondent. After the first three months, the student may write to other friends and relatives on her correspondence list.

Q: What are the facilities like?
A: The campus is located in the beautiful rolling hills of central Alabama. Located on the property are the Student's Home, the Minister's Home, and the Chapel. There are currently two student's homes with the ability to house 6 students and one counselor. The homes complete with living room, kitchen and bath provide opportunities for the women to learn life skills as they complete the program. Women will have an alternative for children (e.g. family member, other).
